HTC Vive Pro 2 Review: An Excellent Choice for VR Porn Movies
It has been a while since we told you about HTC Vive Pro 2 coming to the market – and since these VR goggles have managed to be around for a moment already, we can already discuss them a little bit with you, horny fans of our top-class VR porn movies. This amazing VR headset with 5K 120Hz display delivers the sharpest desktop VR experience we have ever seen, and even though its design has not changed from the original model (HTC Vive Pro from 2018), there was not too much stuff to be changed, and the goggles were and still are really comfortable. The only problem? Crap, they are expensive… but the point is that HTC Vive is not targeted at customers who prefer VR goggles like Oculus Quest 2 for VR porn scenes – no, just like the standalone Vive Focus 3, this visor is clearly geared towards professionals and true connoisseurs of virtual reality porn scenes. But is it still worth spending $1,399 for the entire Vive Pro 2 package? We will try to discuss that in this latest review here at VRBangers.com! HTC Vive Pro 2 for VR Porn Movies – General Introduction
Ok, first of all, you might get a little bit confused as both Vive Pro look pretty damn identical – even though the Pro 2 has a black and purple color scheme, its front facia, strap, and headphones all look the same as before. But when you will finally get this one on your head… you will stop asking questions about which model it is for sure. HTC Vive Pro 2's 5K screen offers 2,448 by 2,448 pixels per eye, which is a huge leap ahead of the 1,440 by 1,600 pixels from the Pro. Moreover, the Pro 2's LCDs have RGB sub-pixels, which helps make everything look sharper still, plus the screen can also refresh at up to 120Hz – which is noticeably smoother than the previous 90Hz panel. Oh, one more difference: Pro 2 VR headset has a 120-degree field of view – which is a really good damn thing when you are looking for immersion with your favorite VR porn scenes. Do these specs sound familiar to you, though? They could, as Vive Focus 3 (mentioned and linked above) is using the same 5K screen with the only difference it has 90Hz refresh. We will write a little bit more about these VR goggles in another article, we promise! [caption id="attachment_173713" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image courtesy of: engadget.com[/caption]
HTC Vive Pro 2 for VR Porn Movies – Capabilities
As you may have noticed above, HTC Vive Pro 2 VR goggles do have a whole lot of hardware that could take your experiences with VR porn scenes to a brand new level. If you were, for example, using a budget-friendly VR headset all this time, you will be surprised in terms of realism and smoothness that Vive Pro 2 is going to give you. Even though they are not as good as those top-class VR goggles for professionals (which are usually not even available in retail), they are still one of the best in terms of quality on the market, and they should give you a whole new level of immersion when you will decide to watch some of our VR porn videos with them. We have tried most of our virtual reality porn experiences – in all available high-definition resolutions, so in 4K UHD, 5K UHD, 6K UHD, and even 8K UHD – and we must say that we are positively surprised, as this VR device put even more life in all of them and perhaps is indeed worth that money. The biggest gamechanger is the 120Hz refresh rate combined with a 120-degree field of view (a rare combination on the VR visor's market), thanks to which you can look all around you in VR porn scenes in 3D 360 degrees without dropping a single frame and losing the immersion that makes all this VR porn that special. HTC Vive Pro 2 for VR Porn Movies – Design
The biggest problem with these VR goggles is the fact that their design has not been improved by much. We mean, do not get us wrong, as this VR headset (its original version) was really comfortable, but the company could have taken a few cues from the Valve Index. A new model of the device is still very comfortable, thanks to its plush cushioning along the front and back and its balanced weight distribution. Near-field speakers would have been a solid upgrade from on-ear headphones, especially since the Pro 2's cans tended to make my head feel warm. The headset's displays also generate a decent amount of heat as well, which led to some sweaty play sessions – and you know that this could really use an improvement, as this fact could be a real problem during the long sessions with virtual reality porn. We generally like the design of HTC Vive Pro 2 but, as we said above, we believe that even though something is good, it can always get better – and since the previous design had some flaws, we were counting that HTC would fix them up and we are slightly disappointed that they did not. Setting up the Vive Pro 2 also takes a bit of work, but that should not be a problem if you have already played with some more demanding VR headsets. You will need two SteamVR base stations set up in opposite corners of your room, as well as USB 3.0 and DisplayPort cables running to a breakout box. Oh, and if you have already got base stations from the original Vive Pro or Valve Index, they will still work and you can save some cash – and if not, well, you will have to pay the full price to take your VR porn immersion to the next level, sir!

HTC Vive Pro 2 for VR Porn Movies – Tech Specs
Since these VR goggles are not standalone, we would like to remind you that you need a good PC to use them – and if you are stuck with slower hardware inside of your rig, and you do not want to literally gag your current GPU while persuading it to some super high temperatures, you should not be getting yourself this VR headset. So the VR device is not only expensive on its own, but it also requires an expensive PC… yeah, this is not the best choice for people who are looking for budget-friendly solutions! Speaking of details, we tested the goggles on a system running NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, and 32GB of RAM – and even though the setup was enough to get smooth performance at the headset's full resolution, getting it to the 120 FPS to fill its refresh rate was not that obvious. And now imagine trying to plug them in on a "slightly" worse PC… Anyway, if you are a true fan of modern technology, we are sure that you do have a PC that is even more powerful anyway – and if not, you can probably forget about getting anything truly usable out of the Vive Pro 2 using its minimum system requirements (a GTX 1060 and 4th-gen Intel CPU).
