What Does Update for Vive Mean for VR Porn

Vive Focus is currently the most advanced standalone virtual reality goggles available on the market, being a #1 option when it comes to comfortable watching of VR porn videos - we even listed them on our list of the best standalone VR headsets for watching VR porn movies, remember? HTC has just released a major software update that has made the device even more competitive, and since there's a lot of new features on the horizon, we simply had to tell you something about those - you probably already know that we just love being up-to-date with everything that's going on the virtual reality market, don't you? First of all, "System Update 2.0" adds the so-called "Passenger mode" extending the VR visor's operating time for an additional hour, being powered by the built-in battery. According to HTC, this feature is especially useful when watching some video contents, so it'll be just perfect for VR Bangers' VR porn videos. How does it work? Well, the whole idea is to save the energy by switching the goggle's tracking mode from six degrees of freedom (6DoF) to three (3DoF) - since you don't need entire 6DoF for your VR porn experiences, this solution indeed sounds quite reasonably. Another of the new features is the option to display the image captured by the cameras built into the headset. Double-pressing the power button now results in switching to the view of the surroundings, so that the user can look around without removing the goggles. If you've ever been immersed by some VR porn films, you probably already know how useful this option will be - don't you? Vive Focus users can now also install applications directly on the microSD card. According to HTC, standalone goggles support media with a capacity of up to 2 TB, which gives them a significant advantage over the competitive Oculus Go headset sold with 32 or 64 GB of built-in memory, without the possibility of expanding it. Since we're talking about the standalone VR visor, this also means that you'll be able to take your VR porn movies with you on the road - more conveniently than ever before. The last of the novelties is the option of pairing goggles with a smartphone. Thanks to a special application, Vive Focus users can receive calls from a mobile phone, as well as display text messages and other "social notifications" directly from the virtual reality level. What's more, the users of the new HTC U12 + will also see a virtual display of their smartphone within their goggles, while their phone will be displaying a "mirror image" of the currently running virtual reality apps - not too useful for VR porn videos, but always worth mentioning, right?

The consumer version of Vive Focus debuted in China in January. According to official announcements, standalone HTC goggles are expected to appear on Western markets during 2018. At the moment, it is not known at what price they will be sold, however, the development version was valued at €650 (about $750).
