Mark Zuckerberg Revealed the Latest Prototypes of VR Goggles
Meta wants to create VR equipment that is not only convenient and compact but also provides an experience almost indistinguishable from reality. Mark Zuckerberg has revealed the latest prototypes of VR goggles, which are the next step in achieving this goal – and that could become the future of the next generation of VR porn movies.
Turing's Visual Test
Some time ago Meta reported on social media about the technologies it is currently working on. As it turns out, it is not only Project Cambria, a mixed reality kit, but also several other devices. The company is developing a virtual reality display system in which everything we see will be as lifelike and detailed as the physical world. For this, however, several conditions must be met. Meta is using the term "visual Turing test" here. To pass it, VR goggles must meet several conditions:
- Tracking eye movement – simulating the effect of focusing the eyes.
- Elimination of lens-generated distortion.
- High resolution – enough to make it impossible to distinguish individual pixels.
- Simulation of the HDR effect – in other words, wide dynamic range, describing the range of darkness and brightness that we experience in the real world.
This type of equipment does not yet exist, of course, but Mark Zuckerberg and his company Meta are working hard to make it a standard in the future.
Lots of Prototypes
Zuckerberg showed off several prototypes that are currently being developed by Meta. Among the kits are the Holocake 2, minimalist goggles that resemble classic glasses. They look inconspicuous but are supposed to be enough to run virtual reality games when connected to a PC. Another prototype presented was the Starbust goggles, which focus on the highest possible brightness, as well as the HDR effect. However, they are quite large and heavy and are unlikely to be worn on the head.
In the image above, on the other hand, you can see the Butterscotch goggles, which feature remarkably high resolution. In them, you can pass a virtual vision test (reading letters from a blackboard, like at an ophthalmologist). The problem here is the narrowed field of vision. Meta is aware that most of the technology presented by the company is far from fully functional. It's more likely to be a while before we see VR goggles that pass the visual Turing test.
So, what do you think about all those models? Could they truly become the future of your all-time favorite VR porn movies? Well, even though some of them could never become real, at least some of the abovementioned devices will eventually start being manufactured – and that's all that we're asking for. Give us one, solid model, Meta – the one that could take the comfort of watching our VR sex movies to another level, while, at the same time, maintaining the high standard in terms of quality, and we're gonna love you for life!
After all, we're really passionate when it comes to our virtual reality xxx experiences – and as soon as Meta will show us some new VR technologies, we'll be glad to both use and promote them!
