How familiar are you with the Windows Mixed Reality platform? WMR is the company's initiative to build a hologram-friendly content creation environment. Microsoft in this way wants to encourage external developers to create their own applications, share ideas and tips for working on a brand-new platform. It includes Windows 10, which, along with UWP (Universal Windows Platform), is expected to bridge the gap between Windows Holographic, traditional PCs, smartphones and tablets, Xbox One, and the Surface series. Since the platform is impressive, it has a lot of different VR headsets to choose from – which is a choice that can feel a little bit intimidating. That is why on behalf of this blog post we are going to tell you a little bit about the top five of the WMR's VR headsets that could be a decent option for VR Bangers' VR porn movies!
Lenovo Explorer Windows Mixed Reality
The Lenovo Explorer Windows Mixed Reality goggles were first unveiled by the Chinese company at IFA 2017. Lenovo's VR goggles can track motion, allowing you to move around a 3.5 by 3.5-meter surface in them, which – back in 2017 – was an innovative solution. Dell Visor Windows Mixed Reality
Dell Visor works well in terms of both virtual and mixed reality and can simultaneously work with both the rich library of Steam and Microsoft Store. The cameras used are designed to track the position of the headset, so we do not need additional sensors. The goggles are equipped with a standalone tracking system in space so that the set consists of only the goggles and two motion controllers. For devices from third-party manufacturers, Microsoft decided to bet on virtual reality and low prices. In addition, we can connect the equipment using a single, connected cable (HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0) – so not only the connection process is quite easy, but it also makes it all a lot more hassle-free in terms of VR porn scenes.
Microsoft has ensured that within the entire Windows Mixed Reality environment we will see many applications that will support not only this type of device but also Microsoft HoloLens using holograms that work in a slightly unusual way. Asus Windows Mixed Reality
The hardware features a dual display with a total resolution of 2880 by 1400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The goggles also have lenses with a 95-degree field-of-view range, so slightly less than the competition. The price of the set will also include a pair of motion controllers. The goggles also have two cameras on the front that are responsible for positional tracking called inside-out. These can pick up the depth of the environment on their own, so they do not require any external hardware to track the user's position, such as the Steam VR Lighthouse or Oculus sensors for the Oculus Rift – which could be useful for interactive VR porn experiences like those we are releasing on behalf of Dezyred.com.
What is interesting, you can use the goggles even on laptops or computers with an integrated graphics card. These are much lower requirements than in the case of Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, which need powerful hardware. Below is a list of the minimum requirements for a Mixed Reality PC that will allow you to fire up the goggles at 60 Hz:

This means that a simple integrated card will not suffice, and slightly more advanced hardware will be required. The exact specifications can be found below:
- Processor: Intel Core i5 4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 3.4 GHz
- RAM: 8GB DDR3
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 960/1050 or AMD RX 460/560 or higher with DirectX 12 support
- Connection: HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2
As you can see, even though these requirements got a little bit higher, they are still not "extreme", and even though we always recommend standalone VR headsets for our VR porn movies, the Asus WMR is still an interesting choice and may appeal to many of you – connoisseurs of premium VR sex experiences.
Samsung HMD Odyssey+ Windows Mixed Reality
Samsung HMD Odyssey+ is an improved version free of the screen-door effect. This hardware compatible with the Windows Mixed Reality platform may be of interest to those for whom high image quality is important and who are disturbed by the sight of lines separating pixels from each other in other comparable products. The hardware also has some additional improvements that are supposed to make using it more comfortable than the older model – which should be of particular interest to all those most demanding fans of VR porn scenes.
Samsung HMD Odyssey+ has onboard two AMOLED screens with a diagonal of 3.5'' and a resolution of 1440 x 1600 pixels each. The manufacturer used in them a technique called Anti-SDE, which eliminates the problem of the screen-door effect. It uses a grid that scatters light coming from each pixel and replicates the image to the areas around them. This makes the spaces between pixels impossible to see. Onboard the Odyssey+ you will find two MR cameras, an IPD sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is also a dual set of microphones, a depth of field system, and a high-quality audio system from AKG. The product connects to the PC via HDMI and USB 3.0.
Comfortable and easy to adjust, the Windows Mixed Reality headset allows you to simultaneously use different applications and move around freely. Realistic experience thanks to the applied technologies and exceptional comfort during longer sessions with virtual reality porn – however, these goggles cost a bit more and, although they are one of the best of the WMR series, they will not be the right choice for all fans of VR porn videos.
HP Reverb G2 Windows Mixed Reality
The first generation of HP Reverb virtual reality goggles received a subdued reception from the market. However, the manufacturer has improved its design, giving us the model that made it to the VR Bangers list last – and which many of you may like, as it is perfect for VR porn scenes in high-resolutions like 8K ultra-high-definition virtual reality!
In the package, you will find not only a six-meter-long cable to connect the goggles to the computer but also a separate power supply for the cable (plugged in from the computer side this time!). This allows you to use the goggles, even if you do not have a USB connector that provides adequate power. However, you absolutely must use the DisplayPort connector (even the one sometimes hidden in the USB-C). The goggles are surprisingly lightweight (550 g), yet solidly made – the matte black plastic is very well-fitted at the joints and on top of that quite resistant to fingers. Also, immediately noticeable are two additional cameras, located on the side of the device, which was severely lacking in the first generation.
Particularly praiseworthy in the HP proposal are the displays – such a high resolution of the screens used is not something obvious. The device has 2x 2.89-inch displays (1 per eye) with a resolution of 2160 × 2160 (4320 × 2160 in total), a field of view of 114 degrees, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and a spacing of 64 mm (+/- 4 mm adjustment). On the other hand, the VR goggles require sufficiently powerful hardware to offer a satisfactory level of gameplay quality. And what about the hardware requirements? HP does not exactly specify what processors are required for the headset, so you should rely on the following information:
- CPU: Intel Core i5 or i7, Xeon E3-1240 v5, AMD Ryzen 5
- RAM: 8 GB (16 GB recommended)
- Connection: DisplayPort 1.3 output, USB 3.0 connector (preferably type C)
- OS: Windows 10 as of May 2019 or later
- DirectX: graphics chip compatible with DirectX 12
