New Generation of VR Goggles for VR Porn

Where did these VR goggles come from?

This new model of virtual reality goggles for commercial applications has been announced during the SIGGRAPH 2018 conference by the StarVR company - a joint venture between Acer and Starbreeze. Device called StarVR One is an improved model of the headset, which is currently used, among others, in IMAX VR (premium European virtual reality cinemas) and a network of Japanese SEGA Game Center stores. They have never had the support for VR porn videos - even the original ones - but now, when their upgrade is available, this perhaps could be a thing that VR Bangers and other premium virtual reality porn producers should think about.

What is the VR visor capable of?

The goggles are equipped with two AMOLED screens with a resolution of 1830 × 1464 px (in total 3660 × 1464 px). This gives a total of 5.4 million pixels (for example, the HTC Vive Pro goggle screen consists of 4.6 million pixels). The refresh rate from 62Hz to 90Hz has also been improved - all of that makes them a strong competition for currently available VR goggles, being an upgrade of them in terms of quality for VR porn videos watching, even though they are not "groundbreaking", but just a stable, solid option. The device will also boast of the eye-tracking technology powered by the Tobii company, SteamVR Tracking 2.0 tracking system, as well as an improved strap supporting the headset on the head. According to the StarVR One manufacturer, the goggles (excluding the 5.9 meter belt and cable) will weigh 450 grams, so they should be quite comfy and appropriate for longer VR porn seances.  Unfortunately, these are not a standalone VR goggles, so to power the StarVR One, you are gonna need a computer equipped with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor and 16GB RAM at minimum - which is quite a lot, but, on the other hands, when thinking about this resolution and FOV... The company also plans to launch the StarVR One XT model equipped with built-in optical markers that will work with other traffic tracking systems than SteamVR. It will be slightly lighter (430 grams) than the basic model, and could be an upgrade in terms of comfort. The price and release date of the new generation of StarVR goggles has not yet been disclosed, so all we can do is observe this entire situation and hope for a new, decent option for our 6K UHD VR porn films, to show off as soon as possible.
