HTC Reveals New Vive Cosmos Headsets and Vive Proton Goggles!
HTC - one of the leading companies producing, among other things, technology used for virtual reality - announced a whole lot of exciting news a few days ago! Not only the latest "prototype" standalone VR headset Vive Proton was shown to us, but also the company announced three new variants of VR goggles from the Vive Cosmos series - the basic version was joined by editions: Play, Elite and XR! What does this mean for VR porn movies? Of course, new possibilities for the development of the technology used for the production of our VR porn scenes and - with the new standalone VR visors like Vive Proton - more comfort when watching VR porn videos in up to 6K ultra high definition virtual reality. Today we will briefly discuss all the new models, and as soon as they come to market, we promise that our 3D VR porn videos will be supported by these new technologies! Note: All images in this article belong to HTC.
Vive Proton
The first item on the list are prototype VR goggles called Vive Proton. As the HTC spokesman says, “Project Proton is a prototype of a future a XR glasses-style device from HTC Vive that we hope to hear feedback on from the community as we continue to work on the product,” which is indeed incredibly exciting and we can't wait to cooperate with the company on the development of these brand new standalone VR goggles possibly great for comfort of watching VR porn scenes. Interestingly, not one but two versions of HTC Proton are in development - a standalone VR headset (visible above) which includes its own processing and battery power, and smaller "VR viewer" version which would be powered by a host device like a smartphone or PC that you can see below. Even though HTC is not offering up any specs or release date details for Proton just yet, we have great hopes for this newest experimental release and we will certainly let you know as soon as we will learn something new about these modern standalone VR goggles that could be extremely fitting for your favorite VR porn videos!
Vive Cosmos Play
Vive Cosmos Play is a basic, entry-level version of HTC's VR goggles without integrated audio (and with a 3.5mm headphone jack for you to plug your own headphones) and with less tracking coverage than original (basic) version of Cosmos - only 4 inside-out trackers/cameras instead of 6. Its release date has not been yet announced and it is going to extremely affordable - available for $500 only. Why would you choose that "downgraded" version, then? Well simply because it is a cheap and yet reliable version of good VR goggles that might be sufficient for your VR porn related needs... so why paying more?
Vive Cosmos (basic version)
Basic version of Vive Cosmos VR goggles has been announced by HTC some time ago. We already told you about it in our previous article over here - if you want to find out more about this VR headset, just make sure to visit it. In this blog, they are being mentioned only to remind you that all of the newest Vive Cosmos variants are just additions to the basic VR visor that was itself a presumably great option for your beloved 3D VR porn videos. Also remember that HTC Cosmos in basic edition is available already and costs $700 ($200 more than Cosmos Play).
Vive Comos Elite
This edition of Vive Cosmos VR goggles is clearly made for VR games and not for VR porn videos, but it is still worth mentioning. It boasts of SteamVR Tracking faceplate and includes two Vive wand controllers and two tracking base stations. Cosmos Elite will be available on March 18th and priced at $900 - which puts it in direct competition with the company’s own Vive Pro ($900) and Valve’s Index ($1,000). Additionally, HTC plans to offer the Cosmos SteamVR Tracking faceplate for $200 - so, if you are interested, you could actually buy it and simply upgrade your $500 Cosmos Play version to something better, yet without the aforementioned bonus gadgets.
Vive Cosmos XR
Last but not least comes Vive Cosmos XR which is a developer-focused VR headset that you could be actually interested in. How come? As it has been equipped with pass-through augmented reality cameras and we all know that AR might be the future of VR porn! "Though all Cosmos headsets support a pass-through video view, the Cosmos XR comes equipped with its own special faceplate that adds two more front-facing cameras to the headset which bring a higher quality and wider field of view pass-through feed than the cameras built into the core Cosmos headset", HTC says. These new VR goggles are planned to launch in Q2 of 2020 as a part of developer kit and its pricing has not been yet announced.
