Remember like some time ago we have mentioned something about Valve teasing their latest VR headset called Index? These VR goggles are no longer a rumor and lately we have learned some fair and square details about them. It turned out that this VR visor certainly will be of the highest quality and could be just great for VR porn scenes in up to 6K ultra high definition - but at the same time, it needs to be said that... it is definitely not cheap. The Valve Index set consists of three elements that the manufacturer allows to purchase together or separately - the VR goggles, controllers and the base station. The producer has made such options available due to the compatibility of new products with the SteamVR Tracking system, which is also used by the HTC Vive VR headset. Thanks to that, if you do own older controllers and a base station, then you do not have to buy new ones and can just grab the goggles themselves - which could be a huge money saver. On the other hand, you do not need this entire sophisticated tracking technology for your VR porn films, so you could probably just skip that part and save an even greater amount of cash. Noticeably, the times of global illumination have been reduced, and the angled optics and two-element lenses have been used - increasing the field of view to 130 degrees. The device supports four refresh modes: 80 Hz, 90 Hz, 120 Hz and 144 Hz (experimental), which is also a novelty and could work just great for smooth VR porn experiences in 6K UHD. Importantly, these speakers do not touch the ears of the user, like traditional headphones would, thus allowing more natural sound dissipation. In addition, this solution also greatly increase the convenience of use, which is one of the most important factors when analyzing the VR headset for VR porn videos. The device is connected to the computer using a long wire (5 m + 1 meter bifurcation for sockets) with three connectors: one USB 3.0, DisplayPort 1.2 and a power supply. Motion tracking is possible due to the presence of SteamVR 2.0 sensors, compatible with SteamVR 1.0 and 2.0, giving you a full support for all the newest VR games - yet not being that important for VR porn movies. With its range of operation up to 7 m, field of view 160º x 115º, and the scanning sensitivity unachievable for the competition, this could be a true game changer. What is more, its motionless lasers are scanning the area 100x per second, and by removing the omni-directional flashing element, the stations can cooperate with other infrared devices. To ensure the best possible quality, it is possible to connect up to four base stations together, thus increasing the tracking area to 10 x 10 m - can you even imagine a VR porn orgy in a room as huge as that?! [caption id="attachment_89140" align="aligncenter"]Valve Index Controllers Valve Index Controllers | Image courtesy: Valve[/caption] The last but still very important element are the Valve Index controllers. Their construction allows for more realistic control in the virtual world - for example, to drop something with these, you only need to open your hand instead of clicking the appropriate button. The equipment has 87 sensors on board that track the position of the hand, as well as its movements and pressure of your touch. The device is able to faultlessly recognize which fingers we show, which can be useful, among others, while playing paper, stone, scissors... or for fingering your favorite VR porn star, right? The HD LRA system is responsible for the quality of vibrations - entire set of pads is connected to the VR set with use of the USB-C port and/or the 2.4 GHz wireless module. The work time on a single charge is up to 7 hours, which is ensured by a 1100 mAh lithium-ion battery. Like the Index goggles, controllers are compatible with SteamVR 1.0 and 2.0 base stations. Let's finally get to the prices, because these - as we mentioned - are not very affordable. Valve Index goggles alone were priced at $499, but this purchase variant is only for people who already have controllers and base stations of HTC Vive or Vive Pro. If you do not have both of these elements, the full set containing all the devices described above (including two base stations) costs $999. If, however, you already own the station itself, then the set with goggles and controllers was priced at $749. You can of course buy each item separately - the price for the Index headset has been listed above, while the set of controllers costs $279, and one base station is $149. You can now book your kit, which will be shipped on July 31, 2019 at the latest. More similar blogs can be found with ease pretty much every other day on VRBangers.com.
