In January 2016, the newly formed UHD Alliance (UHD Alliance) finally announced the new standard: Ultra HD Premium. You can see it on TVs and other devices (such as Blu-ray Ultra HD players), which means that such devices meet or exceed minimum standards. As the name suggests, it's a better version of 4K technology. The resolution remains the same, but the standard specifies certain standards for image brightness, black level, color depth, and color gamut, and also guarantees that the devices in this standard can support HDR video.
